What is your vision for this position? What do you hope to accomplish?

I’m passionate about enhancing accessibility to resources for fellow students and building connections within our community. By collaborating with other student organizations, I aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels at home. Coming from a small town, I understand the importance of breaking down barriers and encouraging openness. My goal is to empower students to explore new opportunities, connect with diverse peers, and embrace growth. Together, we can create an environment where trying new things and engaging with unfamiliar faces becomes second nature.

Please list the following and briefly explain:

  • student organization involvement

  • leadership roles

  • other relevant experiences that make you a strong candidate.

During my high school years, I immersed myself in various leadership roles and extracurricular activities. Here’s a snapshot of my journey: Student Government: I dedicated all four years to student government, serving as class president throughout. Additionally, I had the honor of being the SGA president during my junior year. DECA: For two years, I proudly held the position of DECA president, contributing to our school’s business and marketing community. Music and Marching Band: As a drum major for two years, I led our marching band, setting the tempo and inspiring fellow musicians. Academic Excellence: Heading the National Honor Society for three years allowed me to champion academic achievement and community service. Student Advisor: Breaking new ground, I became the first student advisor on the board of education for DARE county. Advocating for student perspectives was both challenging and rewarding. Athletics: On the field, I captained the varsity girls’ soccer team for two years, combining teamwork and passion for the game. Cheerleading: As part of the cheer squad, I also took on the role of cheer captain, rallying our school spirit. Through it all, I aimed to create a positive impact, foster connections, and leave a lasting legacy. Now, as I move forward, I carry those experiences with me, ready to continue making a difference.
