Beyond campus, I have been deeply involved in mental health advocacy, serving as an Ending-the-Silence speaker for NAMI, where I educate others on suicide awareness. Through my work as a court advocate with Safe Alliance, I have supported survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and as a mentor with Girl Magic Inc., I empower young Black girls in their personal and academic growth. These experiences have strengthened my dedication to ensuring all students at UNC Charlotte feel seen, heard, and supported.
As Junior Class President, I will work to strengthen the connection between students and faculty on mental health issues, ensuring professors recognize the challenges students face and are equipped to provide meaningful support. Additionally, I will promote greater student engagement in advocacy-driven organizations, making sure students not only have access to resources but also feel encouraged to use them.
I am committed to building a more inclusive, supportive, and engaged student body.
