Department / Unit
Upperclassman At-Large Senator

What is your vision for this position? What do you hope to accomplish?

As a senator, I want to encourage the UNC Charlotte community to care for themselves and each other. both physically and mentally. I want to promote the use of the Student Health Center, CAPS, Title IX, and more. I would also like to ensure the Senate makes it a top priority to honor the lives of Riley Howell and Ellis Reed Parlier and to ensure a tragedy like that never happens again. I want to ensure there is accurate and immediate communication between the campus police if there is another situation that arises where there is an active threat to students. Lastly, I want to use my position as a Chi Omega Sorority member on campus to promote anti-hazing and inclusivity in Greek Life, for all Greek organizations. No member of a Greek organization, or anywhere, should ever feel discriminated against or feel as if they are being pressured into doing something in order to be allowed membership into an organization. I believe that by being a member of Chi Omega Sorority I can promote real change in UNC Charlotte's Greek Life if given the opportunity to continue to serve as a Senator.
